Alpha

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore life faith and meaning.

1.Connection

It is a forum to gather and to connect with others over a meal or a cup of tea in a safe, open and friendly environment. All sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build relationships.

2. Content

The Alpha talks are designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith and unpack the basics of Christian belief, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”

3. Conversation

One of the most important parts of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and discuss in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously).

It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

Beta ME feedback on question: “Did you see progress in deepening your faith?

  • “I found the program is very useful to strengthen my faith as a Catholic and to have a deeper relationship with our Lord.”

    Ira Tedja, 6-Feb-23

  • “There is no doubt that I have benefited in all these respects and at times able to reconnect with the valued information provided, as well as input from team members...... I was pleased with the content and found it easily to relate to, follow, understand and respond to during our team engagement and discussions”

    Ian Bird, 6-Feb-23

  • Absolutely. I really learnt a lot through Beta, and I felt the quality of learning was very rich, especially about the history and traditions of the Church, which I did not know a lot about.

    Helene, 11-Jan-24

  • Definitely beneficial in strengthening faith - mainly from discussions and interaction with others; and simply from knowing there are others with a faith commitment.

    John Townsend, 6-Feb-23

  • “Yes, it definitely deepens my understanding of what is evangelism & how to perform it correctly.”

    Wantra, 16-Jan-24
